Eggs

The Inkpot flock live a lovely life, out in the pastures - scratching & foraging in the fresh air. They range over a wide area of the farm with access to organic, GM free food, grit & water from rain fed ponds.

While our birds would have medicines if they need it, they never have. No anti-biotics, no chemicals. Just good food and a good life result in good health. You can see it and taste it in the deep yellow colour and flavour of the eggs.

Our main laying flock have been part of our regenerative grazing system since 2010, following behind the grazers, being moved on regularly and helping to build soil, capture carbon and increase biodiversity on the farm.

With the legal requirements of ‘flockdown’ - keeping birds safe in winters with avian flu outbreaks, we sometimes have to keep the birds inside. When this happens we try to keep life interesting for them with organic goodies from the veg garden, ladders, treats and deep beds for them to scratch around in.

We have a weekly egg round to local villages & Sleaford. It is normally sold out but get in touch to join the waiting list to become one of our regular egg customers.

Our high welfare, very free range, organic eggs are £2 a box delivered to your door.

We also have a breeding group of beautiful rare lincoln buff hens and a little army of broody hens. So we do sometimes have hens available to buy or to order. Get in touch if you would like some.
